About Engaged Leaders United
Engaged Leaders United is a program for adults aged 50 and under who donate or pledge a minimum annual gift of $250 or more or a combined minimum annual gift of $500 or more with their spouse. Being an Engaged Leader will allow you to discover and expand your philanthropic passions through volunteering, networking and community involvement. Anyone who qualifies for the Engaged Leaders United program AND checks the box on their pledge form will be invited to participate in these opportunities.

This group is coordinated by Greater Mankato Area United Way staff.
Important: We are actively seeking ELU members to be active members of the Engaged Leaders United Planning Committee.

Engaged Leaders United Spotlight: Meet Delaney Conrad
Delaney Conrad, a member of the Engaged Leaders United, Systems Developer at Federated Insurance, and Yoga Instructor at Avera Method, believes our community thrives when people show up for one another. Through her involvement with United Way, including serving on an Impact Committee, Delaney has gained a deeper understanding of the needs that exist across the region and the collaborative efforts taking place to address them.
Through these experiences, Delaney has learned more about the challenges many individuals and families face, as well as the dedication of the partner agencies, volunteers, and community members working to provide support and opportunities. Seeing that work firsthand has given her a greater appreciation for the impact that collaboration and community investment can have.
For Delaney, United Way represents more than charitable giving. It is an opportunity to invest in a stronger, more connected community and help provide resources for those who need them most. "I think it's important to remember that any of us are only a few unfortunate circumstances away from needing a helping hand ourselves. Life can change quickly, and that's why it's so important to support others when we're able."
In addition, she’s been inspired by what can be accomplished when individuals, businesses, and organizations come together around a common purpose. Through United Way, she has seen firsthand how collective action can create meaningful impact and strengthen the community in ways that wouldn't be possible alone. "I'm continually impressed by the United Way staff, partner agencies, and volunteers who bring their energy, dedication, and heart to serving our community.”
