Books for Kids Program Volunteering
North Mankato Fire Station #2 (1825 Howard Dr)
Join us to volunteer for the United Way's Books for Kids program! Books for Kids distributes books donated by Capstone to approximately 4,000 regional children six times a year.
Update: due to overwhelming response, we are full for the shifts on Tuesday, September 20! Thank you!
We would love if you could join us for upcoming opportunities:
Monday, September 19, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.: We are seeking 2 volunteers to come to the Fire Station to help unload, unbox and organize books for the project.
Monday, November 14, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Seeking 2 volunteers to come to the Fire Station to help unload, unbox and organize books for the project.
Wednesday, November 16, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Seeing 6 volunteers to help with the packaging part of the project as we label/stamp envelopes, sticker Capstone books, and put books/newsletters into the envelopes to be mailed.
