United Way “Born Learning Trail” Ribbon Cutting in Lake Crystal: Sept 28

Community members invited to Marston Park

MANKATO—Community members and media are invited to the ribbon cutting of Greater Mankato Area United Way’s new Born Learning Trail at 9 a.m. Tuesday, September 28 at Marston Park in Lake Crystal.

The Born Learning trail features signs and painted sidewalk graphics offering simple, age-appropriate activities to help parents or caregivers engage with young children to turn an outdoor trip into a fun learning experience.

“The idea is to turn everyday moments into learning moments,” said Greater Mankato Area United Way CEO Barb Kaus. “We hope the Born Learning Trail becomes a valuable community resource for early childhood learning.”

The Born Learning Trail is made possible through a partnership with Greater Mankato Area United Way, City of Lake Crystal, Lions Club of Lake Crystal and TBEI.

Communities interested in a Born Learning Trail can contact Greater Mankato Area United Way. Earlier this year, the City of Waseca and Thrivent partnered with United Way to install a Born Learning Trail in Waseca.
