Engaged Leaders United Spotlight
Engaged Leaders United Spotlight: Meet Kristen Arnold
We are excited to feature individuals who are part of Greater Mankato Area United Way’s Engaged Leaders United group to learn why they are involved in making a difference in our region through United Way.
Kristen Arnold is a Business Education Teacher and Teacher Coordinator of work-based learning at Mankato Central High School. Being a teacher is a career change for her. She started teaching after earning her Master of Arts in Teaching in 2018. Being a teacher at the alternative high school in Mankato has shown her the importance of Greater Mankato Area United Way in the community, as many of her students are beneficiaries of the various programs and resources United Way provides to our community.
Kristen also wanted to become an Engaged Leader with Greater Mankato Area United Way so she could give back to the organization that has personally helped her.
Kristen shared, "The Youth Mental Health Navigator helped find a therapist for my child when no one else could get them in to see someone, and I am so grateful for that help. I am a mom of three children, Wyatt, Winnie, and Walter. We moved to North Mankato in 2017, and my children have grown up in Mankato, benefiting from being part of a loving, caring community that supports them. Greater Mankato Area United Way has contributed to making this a great place to live, and that is another reason it is essential to be an Engaged Leader and help this organization stay strong and grow."
Thank you, Kristen!
We are proud to introduce the 2025 Greater Mankato Area United Way Engaged Leaders United Committee!
