WASECA—United Way will kick off its 2017 Campaign in Waseca County from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on August 17 with a celebratory event at Trowbridge Park in Waseca.
This is a FREE event, open to all ages, with fun activities with prizes for kids. There will be a brief program at noon.
“Our goal is to ensure the well-being, stability and self-sufficiency of individuals of all ages, while keeping dollars local,” said United Way CEO Barb Kaus. “This kickoff event is a fun opportunity for people to stop by to learn how United Way is working to build a better tomorrow in our region.”
United Way’s 2017 goal is $2 million.

In 2017, United Way will support 35 programs serving Waseca County, including nine new partner programs within the following agencies:
Achieving Dreams for Disabilities
Cedar Valley Services (SMART Senior Transportation)
Lutheran Social Service of MN
Waseca Area Neighborhood Service Center
Waseca Area Senior Citizens Center
Waseca Community Ed & Rec

United Way’s kickoff event in Mankato will be noon to 1 p.m. on August 10 at the Civic Center Plaza.
