United Way to Kick Off 2017 Campaign on August 10

MANKATO—United Way will kick off its 2017 Campaign from noon to 1 p.m. on August 10 with a celebratory event at Civic Center Plaza.
 
This event is free and open to the public, with fun activities and NFL prizes for kids. Speakers include this year’s campaign chair Brandon Scheel. Corporate Pacesetters (companies that commit $500+) will do a live “kick off,” with United Way partner agencies at the receiving end.
 
“Our goal is to ensure the well-being, stability and self-sufficiency of individuals of all ages,” said United Way CEO Barb Kaus. “This kickoff event is a fun opportunity for people to stop by to learn how United Way is working to build a better tomorrow in our region.”

United Way’s kickoff event in Waseca County will take place 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on August 17 at the Trowbridge Park in Waseca (brief program at noon).
