United Way Named Beneficiary of Raw Fusion
Tickets on sale now for May 12 fashion show.
Greater Mankato Area United Way has been named the nonprofit beneficiary of this year’s Raw Fusion Fashion Show that takes place at 8 p.m. Friday, May 12 at the Verizon Center.
Raw Fusion, presented by the MN River Builders Association, is a high-energy, abstract fashion show dedicated to bringing attention to the local building industry while raising funds and awareness for a local cause. Outfits are inspired by raw building materials, and each is judged for its uniqueness and flair.
United Way CEO Barb Kaus said United Way is grateful to be this year’s beneficiary. “Raw Fusion aligns wonderfully with our mission of bringing many elements together to build a better tomorrow in our region,” she said.
This year’s event is themed “Are You Ready to Rock?” and will feature a live rock concert by Mankato-based band IV Play. “The MRBA is thrilled with how the Mankato community has embraced Raw Fusion since our first show in 2011,” said Amy Kolb, MRBA Executive Director. “Through this support we’ve been able to donate $63,000 to date to local causes. We look forward to seeing what this year brings.” Raw Fusion will take place at the Verizon Center in downtown Mankato. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the runway show will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets are on sale on Ticketmaster.com or at the Verizon Center Box Office (Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.). General standing tickets are $40, general seated $65, and limited VIP $100.
