Greater Mankato Area United Way has climbed past its 2016 campaign goal of $1,950,000.
As of December 23, the campaign is at $1,951,079.14. The campaign will continue as dollars are still coming in.
“People of our region have shown time and again their generosity and willingness to pull together for a better tomorrow,” said Greater Mankato Area United Way president Barb Kaus. “Funds raised in addition to the goal will go toward fulfilling program requests and improving lives right where we live, learn and work.”
Details on the use of additional funds will be announced soon.
“We’re not stopping here,” said Todd Snell, this year’s volunteer campaign chair. “We’re ready to keep this momentum going.”
