MNSU Students to Put on “Balleyball” Tourney for United Way

MANKATO—Let’s play balleyball!

Students from the Parks & Leisure Department at Mankato State University, Mankato will host a unique sports tournament to benefit United Way beginning at 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 5 at Myers Field House.

Balleyball is a challenging form of volleyball that requires using yoga balls instead of your hands/arms.

As part of their class, the students were tasked with planning and executing a community event.

“We are thankful to enjoy such a strong partnership with MNSU,” said Community Outreach Director Laura Murray. “This event is a great opportunity to raise awareness of United Way and its agencies among college students in our community.”

“Quote from student about why this is a great event,”

Proceeds will go toward United Way’s 2017 campaign, which has the goal of $2 million.
