Please join us May 25 for a media conference on the expansion of the Summer Mobile Feeding Program. Through last year’s Greater Mankato Area United Way allocation review process, the Emergency Services Impact Team made up of individuals from the community determined a need to expand the Salvation Army’s Mobile Outreach Meals to serve more hungry youth during the summer. Over the past nine months, United Way convened various community partners to address this need and identify sites that were not being served by Mankato Area Public School’s summer feeding program or Salvation Army’s Mobile Outreach Meals.
What: Learn about the expansion of the Summer Mobile Feeding Program, which will nearly double the number of area youth who have access to lunch during the summer. This expansion is possible due to the collaboration of several community partners.
Who: Greater Mankato Area United Way, Salvation Army, Feeding Our Communities Partners, Mankato Area Public Schools Administration and Food Service, City of Mankato and Public Safety, City of North Mankato and Public Safety
When: 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25 (Media welcome to set up as early as 9:40 a.m.)
Where: Shared Spaces Center for Nonprofit Collaboration – Confer Community Room 127 S. 2nd St., Mankato
