We invite you to visit with Jon Olseth of the Olseth Family Foundation. The Olseth Family Foundation is working to improve our community through support of arts, education, the environment and the underserved. In 2017, Jon’s passion for literacy and equal access to books led to our continuing Fourth-Grade Book Project through Greater Mankato United Way, funded by the Olseth Family Foundation. This project provides a new Shel Silverstein book to every regional fourth-grader. It also engages the community in delivering books directly to students and reading poetry together. Watch a video about last year’s deliveries here. The Olseth Family Foundation supports many other community initiatives, such as Books for Kids and BackPack Food Program.
This year we will be delivering to all Mankato Area Public Schools on Monday, May 21 at 1:00. After conversation and lunch with Jon, you are invited to join at a local school. This is a wonderful opportunity to see a great example of giving back to a community through literacy. We will deliver to regional/private schools throughout April and May--contact us for more information.
