Businesses, Community Volunteers to Participate in United Way’s Week of Action

WHAT:  During the week of June 15–19, thousands of people across the country will participate in United Way’s National Week of Action. In our region, Greater Mankato Area United Way is connecting over 130 individuals (and counting) to various volunteer opportunities at our partner agencies and other nonprofits.

WHEN/WHERE:  We invite the media to kickoff the week with us at 1 p.m. on June 15 at the Mankato Salvation Army (700 S. Riverfront Dr.), where a volunteer team from Eide Bailly will be painting the organization’s dining room. Members of United Way staff will be available at this time for interviews.

WHY:  Week of Action connects businesses and individuals to meaningful volunteer activities to help improve the lives of others in greater Mankato. This event mobilizes us all not only to take action during the week of June 15–19 but also to engage in the well-being of our community year round.
