    Details:

    EASE (Employment & Social Enrichment)- Provides social, educational, health oriented, and recreational alternatives to retirees with disabilities. It also provides consumers the option to work part-time while also enjoying social EASE activities.

    ·         The average participant participates in 46.57 hours of EASE activities per month.

    ·         Allows people to participate in retirement activities and continue to work if they desire. 24% of participants continue to work 20 hours per week or more

    Center Based Extended Employment- Provides training for community employment and ongoing employment for people with severe disabilities, and creates a source of income for consumers who are working.

    ·         Provides employment and training service for a minimum of 6 hours per day for over 250 consumers

    ·         Employees who combine center-based employment with community employment will experience at least 20 hours of work per week

    Transportation- Provides rides for people with disabilities who are otherwise unable to utilize public or private forms of transportation. This program provides rides from home to work at MRCI and rides from MRCI to their jobs in the community.

    ·         MRCI operates 32 routes per day, providing approximately 200 people approximately 12,000 miles of transportation to and from employment per month

    ·         In 2009, MRCI provided 97,147 one way trips
